My Formation & Authority
Formation & Authority
Agnes Johanna Schmidts ability to design and guide this work is the result of long-term, multi-layered formation — practical, theoretical, and lived.
Contemplative & Monastic Training
Daily contemplative practice since early adolescence, 17+ years (meditation, contemplation, visualization, guided reflection, discernment)
Multiple stays in monasteries with sustained silence, fasting, and self-guidance (longest was 6 months, 4h practice a day)
Formal teacher training in Christian meditation (over six months, with parallel private practice)
Study of monastic discernment as a decision-making and leadership discipline
Psychology, Neuroscience & Mental Performance
Theology studies (BA and MA) with integrated psychology (counseling foundations, clinical perspectives, mental health frameworks), extra courses in leadership and change management.
Formal leadership training at "Hochschule für Philosophie München": Combining philosophy, meditation techniques and discernment towards inner authority (Including Marcus Aurelius Meditations, Seneca, Machiavelli, Sun Tsu and Jesuit discernment)
Self-directed study of cognitive and behavioral psychology
Applied mental performance frameworks (including visualization and rehearsal protocols, for example by Maya Raichoora and evidence-based performance coaching, e.g. "Handbook of Mental Performance" Pattyn & Hauffa)
Scientific foundations from neuroscience and physiology, including:
dopamine, endorphin, oxytocin, and cortisol regulation
attention, motivation, stress, and recovery systems
nutrition, physical training, and cognitive performance
Ongoing education through research-based sources
Personal Application Under Load
She spent over 2 years in personal therapy, including during a depressive and burnout phase. This gave her a first-hand experience of clinical support systems — both their strengths and their limits. Recovery did not come from insight alone. She rebuilt her capacity by developing and applying her own mental and spiritual performance tools in real life. Using these tools, I restored my energy, completed my Master’s in Theology, secured funding, and began working on the pre-seed stage of my business. The burnout and depression never returned.
This is not theoretical knowledge. It is lived, tested, and applied under real pressure — the same kind founders face.
Founder experience over the last four years, including delayed funding, continuing alongside a journalist employment, leaving secure employment, several pivots, long-term uncertainty, enduring without burnout and starting her own business successfully at the start of 2025.
Experience, that structured inner training and applied protocols create faster, more durable results than open-ended exploratory work. Nonetheless, in cases of burnout and depression she works complementary with a psychologist, by no means replacing therapy.
This combination allows me to work with precision — not abstraction.
My Perspective
Founders do not fail because they lack ambition or drive.
They fail because they lack structure to sustain these. And then:
internal authority fragments under complexity
emotional load accumulates faster than it is processed
decisions are revisited because clarity is unstable
performance continues while inner coherence erodes
Most existing approaches address symptoms:
Productivity "hacks"
Superficial mindset work
Inefficient rest
What is missing is system-level training.
My work addresses the founder’s inner operating system directly — where authority, capacity, and clarity are actually generated.

For the last 1.5 years, she have applied this work specifically with founders, where leverage is highest and implementation is real.
One founder stabilized a severe burnout state within two weeks of structured inner capacity training — not through rest alone, but through system coherence.
How She Works

Her Work Ethics
She holds myself to founder-level standards: personal responsibility, disciplined self-regulation, and decisions grounded in long-term goals rather than motivation or mood.
With founders, she works in their genuine long-term interest — strengthening clarity, capacity, and judgment without creating dependence, pressure, or false urgency. Her work structures and tools are transparent and resources can be given at any point of coaching.
She practices direct, costly honesty: clear feedback, explicit boundaries, and no performance theater, manipulation, or inflated promises.
When burnout or mental health strain is present, she work complementarily with clinical professionals and never position this work as a substitute for therapy.
As a content creator, she shares only what has been lived, tested under pressure, and proven to support sustainable execution and leadership.
